COMPETITION RULES

The Sense Arena NHL Winter Classic Competition starts on December 22nd, 2025, at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time (“EST”) and ends January 4th, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. EST.

Users as of Dec. 21, 2025, should access the menu in the 2026 NHL Sense Arena Meta Quest app to enter the competition and choose the 2026 NHL Winter Classic Competition. The “Player” competition will consist of seven (7) drills, while the “Goalie” competition will consist of six (6) drills. The Player competition is open to all current Sense Arena users with MR headsets (MQ3 & MQ3s). The Goalie competition is open to all current Sense Arena users who wish to participate, regardless of their license or headset.

Drill difficulty will be set according to the age category the user logs in with, and all drill results will be displayed on a single summary page once completed.

For Players, each user’s final score will be based on the total points earned in the drills played. In the case of a tie, the highest score in the Gold Rush drill among the tied players will be used to break the tie. If there's still a tie, the highest score from Heads-Up Handles, then Biscuit Breakaway, will be used.

For Goalies, each user's final score will be based on the total number of saves they make. In the event of a tie, the highest Reaction Time Average among the tied users will be used as the tiebreaker

Participants may replay the competition as often as they wish to achieve the highest score possible. If a user replays the competition and obtains a lower score than their previous high score, the last high score will still be retained.

Prizes for the top three (3) Players and top three (3) Goalies:

1st Place: Hockey Stick of winner’s choice (non-custom)* — Value: $400 USD
2nd Place: Four (4) free months of NHL Sense Arena — Value: $236 USD
3rd Place: $125 credit of Sense Arena apparel — Value: $125 USD

Winners will be announced on Wednesday, January 7th, 2026, and contacted via email.

*Sense Arena will do its best to accommodate each player’s and goalie’s requested hockey stick. Prizes are non-transferable, and no substitutions by the winner or cash equivalents are allowed. Sense Arena reserves the right to substitute a prize for one (1) of equal or greater value if any advertised prize becomes unavailable.

Eligibility is limited to individuals who meet the minimum age requirement for Meta Quest devices, with parental consent required for minors, and who reside in permitted regions (void where prohibited). Employees of the Sense Arena company are not eligible. Winners will be selected by skill as specified, and all prizes are subject to applicable taxes.

The NHL and its related entities are not sponsors of this competition. By participating in this competition, you agree to release and hold harmless the NHL and its related entities from any and all liability for any loss, harm, damage, injury, cost or expense of any nature whatsoever which may occur in connection with your participation in any competition-related or prize-related activity.
